A Journey To the Volta Region, Ghana: Creating Cybersecurity Awareness in Schools.

Cyber1defense Communication Ltd Charity Africa, is a renowned cybersecurity organization, which recognizes the importance of education and nurturing talent in the field of cybersecurity. In collaboration with Cyber1defense Communication Limited, the company embarked on a social concern charity tour to the Volta region of Ghana specifically senior high schools on the impacts and need to protect themselves on the internet and bridge the digital divide.

On Wednesday, 26th June 2024, the team visited Anglo Technical Institute and Akatsi Technical School conducting informative workshops that included interactive activities and engaging discussions. Through these workshops, the students gained valuable knowledge as they ask questions about cybersecurity, its significance, and measures to stay safe in the digital world. The workshops also aimed to inspire the students to explore career opportunities in cybersecurity.

During the visit to Akatsi Technical School, the team recognized a some remarkably talented students who displayed a keen interest in the field of cybersecurity. Impressed by his enthusiasm and flair, Cyber1defense Communication Charity Africa and Cyber1defense communication ltd decided to offer these students a unique scholarship and mentorship opportunity. This mentoring program aims to guide and nurture the talents of these students, providing him with the necessary guidance and support to pursue a career in cybersecurity. Through this initiative, the organization hopes to inspire and empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

As part of their philanthropic efforts, Cyber1defense Communication Ltd, in partnership with Cyber1defense Charity Africa, generously donated laptops some lucky students to enhance their learning. To make the donation process more engaging, the team organized an interactive session where students who answered cybersecurity-related questions were rewarded with laptops. This approach not only provided the students with technological access but also encouraged their interest in the field of cybersecurity.
