In November 2023, at the Cyber1defense Communication Charity Africa (C1DCCA) premises situated conveniently right adjacent to the Central Mosque in Abelemkpe, Accra Ghana
played host to a joyous  and enchanting Children’s Book Fair. The event
which was a resounding success, brought together book lovers for a
memorable gathering. The event, which took place for two days,
showcased a diverse range of books, from kid’s stories books, computer based
books, and others. Let’s take a look back at the highlights of this
fantastic event.

A Celebration of Books:
The Book Fair featured an impressive selection of books from various
genres, catering to readers of all ages and interests. Attendees had the
opportunity to explore a treasure trove of fiction, non-fiction, children’s
literature, poetry, and academic works. The Children’s Book Fair
dazzled attendees with its vast collection of books specifically for young
readers. From picture books and early readers to adventure novels and
educational resources, there was something to captivate children of all
ages and interests.
The Children’s Book Fair was not just about books; it also featured
entertaining performances and shows to captivate young hearts. Magic
acts, and music brought smiles and laughter to the faces of children and
their families.
After the event, the director of Cyber1defense Communication Charity Africa (C1DCCA) Mr. Foster Dogbey
said, “this event was organized to bring kids together and have a
memorable day, it wasn’t only about coming to pick the book but to
make sure that the kid picks a book that he/she will be able to read.
That is why it was graded, from children to adults. This is something we
will be doing yearly to help build the kids in our society.”

The Cyber1Defense Communication Charity Africa (C1DCCA) Book Fair is not limited to just books. In addition to the literary treasures, there were also giveaways that add an extra layer of excitement to the event. Pens, pencils, toys and may refreshments were given to the children in fostering a sense of community around reading.
